Who are these terms between?
Dinsmore Graphics is a design and development studio run by Anthony Dinsmore as a sole proprietor since May 1999. "We", "us" and "Dinsmore Graphics" mean the studio; "you" means the person or business we work for.
These terms cover all of our services: web design, logo design, SEO and AI search, Shopify stores, video and motion, print and other design work, and web hosting. When you approve an estimate, buy hours or sign up for hosting, you agree to these terms.
How do estimates work?
Every project starts with a free consultation, so we understand the whole project before giving an estimate. Estimates are given in hours and are our honest best judgment, not a fixed price. If the work grows or changes along the way, we tell you before going past the estimate, and you decide how to continue.
Work starts once you approve the estimate and payment is in place.
How much does it cost, and how do I pay?
- Pay as you go: $75 an hour, billed weekly in 1‑hour steps, with a 2‑hour minimum.
- 10‑hour block: $550 ($55 an hour), billed in 15‑minute steps.
- 20‑hour block: $800 ($40 an hour), billed in 15‑minute steps.
- Extra hours after a block: $75 an hour, still counted in 15‑minute steps, with no 2‑hour minimum, usually paid when the work is done. Larger hourly jobs may need a deposit.
We accept Zelle, Venmo, PayPal and Cash App. Blocks are paid before the work starts. Pay-as-you-go jobs of about 4 hours or less are billed when they are done; bigger pay-as-you-go projects start with a deposit. Monthly hosting is paid by PayPal subscription.
If an invoice goes unpaid, work pauses until it is paid. Prices are listed on the Pricing page and may change for future work; hours you have already bought keep the rate you paid.
What happens to hours I prepay?
Prepaid hours stay on your account until you use them, for this project or the next one, and one block covers any mix of services. Because blocks are already discounted, payments for hours and services are not refundable.
Before you run out of hours, we let you know and ask how you would like to continue: another block, or a few more hours at $75 an hour, still counted in 15‑minute steps.
How do I see the hours used?
Every client gets a live report that shows each finished task, the time it took and the hours left. It is updated as the work happens and always shows the latest at the same link.
What do you need from me?
- Text, photos, logos, product details and any other content for the project.
- Logins and access we need, such as your hosting, domain, Shopify or social accounts.
- Feedback and approvals in reasonable time, so the work keeps moving.
You confirm that you own, or have permission to use, everything you send us, and that it can be used for your project. Delays in content or feedback can move the timeline.
Who owns the finished work?
Once your project is paid in full, you own the final files we deliver for it: for example, your logo files, your website and your finished videos. Your website and your domain are yours to keep, and you can move them to any host you like.
Our working and source files, such as Photoshop, Illustrator and After Effects project files, stay with us and are not provided. Fonts, stock images, music, themes, plugins and other third-party items remain under their own licenses.
Can you show my project in your portfolio?
We may show the work we create for you on our website, in our portfolio and on social media. We ask before naming you in a case study or sharing your results.
What is paid to other companies?
- Your domain name and its renewals.
- Shopify plans, themes and apps.
- Stock photos, fonts and music licenses.
- Paid plugins and other software you choose.
These companies set their own prices and terms, and their services are outside our control.
What are the terms for web hosting?
- Plans are billed yearly, or monthly by automatic PayPal payments. Hosting is the one service with a refund: a 30-day money-back guarantee.
- With self-service hosting, you keep your site, theme and plugins updated, manage your email accounts, and keep your own backups of your files and database in cPanel. If a self-service site is hacked, cleanup is billed at the hourly rate.
- A Website Tune-Up ($150 each time) includes a full backup, every piece of code updated, and a check. Booked at least once every three months, damage from malware or hacking in between is fixed free.
- Full-service care (from $35 a month) keeps everything updated for you, with a backup before and after every update, and fixes malware or hacking damage free.
- You own your domain name. We can help register it in your name.
- We may suspend a hosting account for non-payment, or for abuse such as spam, malware, illegal content or harm to other sites.
Plans and prices are on the Web Hosting page.
What do you not promise?
We do not guarantee search rankings, mentions in AI answers, traffic or sales: search engines, AI tools and other platforms make their own decisions and change them often. We are also not responsible for outages or changes at other companies, such as your hosting provider, Shopify, payment services or plugin makers.
To the extent the law allows, our total responsibility for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the service it concerns, and we are not responsible for indirect losses such as lost profits or data.
What if I want to stop?
Either of us can end a project at any time by letting the other know. You receive the final files for the work you have paid for, and any unused prepaid hours stay on your account for later.
Can these terms change?
We may update these terms from time to time; the date at the top of this page shows when they last changed. The version in place when you approve an estimate or buy hours applies to that work. These terms are governed by the laws that apply where Dinsmore Graphics does business.
